Centipedes are carnivorous therefore do not damage plants at all. They will eat any insect they can overpower and kill. So they are really a gardeners friend, although they do eat spiders which are also a gardeners friend.:

Well Colin you surprised me!! I did not know that potatoes were determinate and indeterminate but coming from the same family as tomatoes it may be expected.Googling the subject First Earlies,Second Earlies are mostly determinate and do not need earthing up when in the ground just mulching.Main crop...

Spent a couple of hours on my plot today,tidying and marking off roughly what is going where.Bit of a nip in the air even though the thermometer on the shed was showing 14C.Ground warming up but still a bit wet to work.

Have you checked the fuse in the plug? Did you switch on the socket when you plugged the charger into it?Was the connection between battery and charger good?

I have ditched the car for short journeys and bought and use a tricycle.At my age safer than a bike;and the basket on the back is most useful.

Looking at Compo's photo's I wonder if there is more blue water pipe being used on allotment sites and gardens for protection than there is for carrying water around the streets!!!
