Re: Autumn Bits and Bobs.
it was a chilly cycle to work this morning, had to put proper gloves on! Most unexpected. I did try to see the Northern Lights last night, but I think we are too far south unfortunately.

Re: Cheeky Squirrel!!.
'My' Robin, Bobski, came into the living room on Saturday, scared the flipping life out of me. He landed on a plant, which I thought, in my periferal vision, had come to life!! He then flew away, I thought to back outside, but no, he was just playing 'lets fly around the house'. I opened all the oth...

Re: Washing line
Washing line for me, it’s hidden at the bottom of the garden. I do have an ancient dryer, which gets used a handful of times a year, generally in an emergency, no dry socks! Last year I bought a heated airer, it’s a godsend in the winter, so I don’t have to have clothes horses draped in wet laundry ...

Re: Hedge Trimmer
Good Job Geoff! I've just bought a makita battery trimmer, mainly because most of my DH's tools are makita and we have the batteries etc already. It does a fair job so far, but I will giving it a proper test soon with the front Bay hedge. My dad has a long reach stihl petrol trimmer. What a beast, I...

Re: Autumn Bits and Bobs.
lots of rain here, leaky garage roof :( BUT the garden looks lush. We are feeding the lovely fat hegdey every night in a feeding station on the patio, protected from the weather. We have some great footage, but no idea how to show it here, sorry!! We will move the camera to the entrance of the house...

Re: Hedgehog
we've got a big fat fella who comes onto the patio every night at about 9-9.30 to hoover up the mealworms we leave out for him. I am hoping he's staying in the house we built for him during the day. We will try and get some video of him over the weekend. It's so lovely to see one!

How lovely Myrkk! I've toyed with the idea, but not in our current home. How do they fare in the garden, do you know? My mum says they will eat everything, other sources say they'll just eat the slugs??

Robo, my tomatoes are the same, only just been able to harvest a few last week, really late, they'll be over before they've started! Green beans had a nice big harvest 2 weeks ago, but nothing since. Chillies in the greenhouse are doing well, been picking them since July. Aubergines are just startin...

Re: Summer Bits and Bobs.
I think my butternuts are duds this year, there’s only been male flowers, so not a single fruit. They look really healthy, but didn’t start growing strongly for ages, so very behind. Probably not worth persevering with them is it?
