Without sounding like a tightwad *cough*..is there any reason that good old net curtain wouldn't be just as good as enviromesh? I have some EM, but really is very expensive and I just cut it too short for my new raised beds (doh!).

Hmmm, well I do think 25 chickens in a terrace backgarden is taking the P*** and I don't think I would like to live next door to the enclosure in the height of summer! Hope they don't set a president with the council for clamping down on people who keep a couple of egg layers in their backgardens. I...

Well I guess I have prooved they are indeed safe for birds as she is sill alive and kicking Honestly, I don't think a belly full of concrete would stop that hen thinking she was being starved From what I remember, they are made of some iron compound, good to know how they work. I left the container ...

People have more expensive hobbies for sure I saved for my cube for quite a few months, paid tax on the mone...

I dread to think what the badger popn is like here, this year you can barely drive a mile without seeing splatted juvenile badgers on the road, everyday there is a new one.

advanced slug pellets

Anyone had an animal, more accurately a very stupid chicken eat these? I only used them because they are meant to be really safe for pets, birds and children but a hen got through the fencing around the veg patch and obviously developed taste for them, not a small amount are missing I don't know whe...

Thanks Alan No lottery win sadly. I love the look & durability of the Eglu's over wooden houses. Also that the housing cannot be chewed through or infested. I was checking out the Domestic Fowl trust website earlier and their houses are not much cheaper. I have a Cube and an Eglu and yep, they ...

onions

Hello *waves*, I've been a lurker here for a few months but finally got around to registering! I planted my onions sets early March I think (forgive the memory, I just had a baby ) and I pulled most of them this afternoon as they had gone yellow and kind of floppy, about half looked like they had be...
