Yippee ! I have just walked my dog down the cycle path this evening amd found 2 beetles which are about half his size without horns. I hope they are female stags if not i've done all I can to keep him happy : )

Horny friend

I rescued a very handsome stag beetle from being chopped up by the lawnmower 4 weeks ago. He has been living happily in my greenhouse ever since. I have been spraying him with water and putting fruit down for him. I don't think he will find a mate in our garden. Should I release him into the country...

Thank you all I will do it now. The demi johns are protecting my raspberry bushes from my son's Weimaraner puppy. He is the reason I have the greenhouse too ! He has chewed 4 branches off the apple tree which is still in the greenhouse. He is a lovely dog but..........

I have put my green house on wood on top of bricks. How do I secure it to stop it blowing away ? I have no instructions as it is second hand. I have tried to attach a photo of it. It is made of green metal

Poor tree

I am in the middle of putting up a greenhouse. The frame is up but before I sort out a base I need to decide what to do with a year old four foot high apple tree which is flowering happily in the middle of it. If I attempt to move it now will I kill it ? There is nowhere else in the garden i can put...

Thank you all for your help I tried all your tips. It still wouldn't budge ! As a last resort I put it in a bucket of boiling hot water for a while which amazingly appears to have fixed it. I have put it in the potting shed today to test it as my greenhouse is only half up. Thats another story. Plea...

The blue thingy appears to be stuck at 110 with an inch gap above the mercury. I have preessed the button about a hundred times and nothing moves. I hope Robert Dyas will take it back

I bought a manual greenhouse max/ min thermometer yesterday (push button reset model) It is a pain in the ****! I just cannot work out how or even if it works. If I take it back to the shop is there a more user friendly version I could swop it for ? Any advice please ?
