I always seem to get rust on my leeks as well.
I've always just left them alone. It doesn't seem to stop them growing, just makes them look unsightly

I've got 2 large buddleia's in the garden, both flowering profusely in the sunshine. Over the last couple of days, I've seen 1 Peacock, 2 Red Admirals, 1 Small Tortoiseshell, and 1 Painted Lady. Very sad state of affairs isn't it Saw a few Painted Lady's over the beach on Monday, but not much else. ...

Not much rain at all this weekend for a change Managed to get the grass cut and edged. Looks quite respectable again for 5 minutes The strawberries are almost over, but loads of flowers on the raspberries. New Polka plants this year and looking good so far. Peppers are looking good in the greenhouse...

Mildew on all of my gooseberries and shallots, potatoes are all blighted, strawberries rotting before they are ripe and to finish it off, i had a lovely row of broad beans just starting to crop and the deer got in a trashed the whole row.
