Snow today. By Herts standards quite enough, it wouldn't scare anyone from Yorkshire or further north.

I have been fortunate in my white goods. Washing machine dates back to 2002 when I moved into the current abode. A fridge-freezer is older, I must have bought it in 1997.

I read in a play (I think) that before the expression "the best thing since sliced bread" - dreadful phrase, is pre-sliced bread a good thing?) there was "The best thing since sunlight soap". I think I may adopt this.
