Runner Beans; To Pinch or not to Pinch ?
We're growing runner beans for the first time this year as well as our usual French Dwarf Beans. The variety is Wisley Magic and they have passed the top of the canes at about 7 feet grown on a traditional "A"? frame row and there are now many red flowers. The question is do runner beans h...

Re: Dwarf Beans Safari LATE
Thanks for all the advice and discussion on this topic ! My dwarf beans germinated at about 90% last week during the hot spell ! I think I will leave sowing till later next year or sow in succession and use new seed. It still seems strange that dwarf beans need a bit more care than runner beans. The...

This year I had trouble finding them and when I did they were on sale at £1 off the normal price. I thought I had found a bargain but whe...

White veins on courgette leaves
We have 4 courgette plants each in a 10 inch pot in an unheated greenhouse.
They seem healthy but 3 of them have white veins on the first set of true leaves the other leaves are still green. Is this normal ?
