Another damp, drizzly morning here, work is becoming a real challenge to get certain jobs completed!
Maybe next week will be bright and sunny…..not sure how many weeks I have been saying that now…..

Just watched your video, Burnie, very enjoyable as always… I have just started to share the wonders of gardening with my youngest Sons, girlfriend….and she absolutely loves it…her face when she saw her first seeds coming through was a real picture to behold….can’t wait until she digs her first potat...

Just to confuse things a little more, I have a hedge that is field maple and it doesn’t have catkins and the seedlings don’t have hairy stems, or long, thin white roots!

We have quite a lot of Red Kites here now…..and there is a bloke that has had an infestation of mice at the sheds at his house, so he has been trapping them, chucking them on his allotment and after a few days the Kites were coming everyday to pick them up! That is good news about the new Cider Orch...

I always thought salt could alter the ph of the soil and if used liberally, can even make the soil sterile…..so I don’t think it’s a good idea at all!

Soon back to normal, just been and picked some Rhubarb for my Mum and it’s started raining again, so had to make a run for it….well more of a fast hobble!🙂

I chain-harrowed one of the fields today, a job I really enjoy, as it brings back happy childhood memories of working on the local farms….

Had Big Bertha out doing a wonderful job of rotovating, she certainly makes short work of a large area, when conditions are favourable!
