No Swallows here yet, but hopefully soon…..
We had just enough rain last night and today, to stop work on the allotments again!
And very heavy rain forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning….
I wonder if we will get a late frost?

Re: Spring Bits and Bobs.
I haven’t planted any tender plants out yet…..not after losing stuff at the end of May last year!
Nice and bright here today, but the wind still has a bite to it…..the weekend end is looking really grim again, with lots of rain….

Re: Spring Bits and Bobs.
Had glasses for a few years now, just for reading but, I was having a job doing screen work, so got some new ones a couple of months ago. I needed to get a couple of very wet lawns cut this morning, so went over them with my leaf blower first, makes a huge difference……border work is still very slow ...

Another damp, drizzly morning here, work is becoming a real challenge to get certain jobs completed!
Maybe next week will be bright and sunny…..not sure how many weeks I have been saying that now…..

Re: What are these invading the plot?
Just to confuse things a little more, I have a hedge that is field maple and it doesn’t have catkins and the seedlings don’t have hairy stems, or long, thin white roots!

Re: Spring Bits and Bobs.
We have quite a lot of Red Kites here now…..and there is a bloke that has had an infestation of mice at the sheds at his house, so he has been trapping them, chucking them on his allotment and after a few days the Kites were coming everyday to pick them up! That is good news about the new Cider Orch...
