We have quite a lot of Red Kites here now…..and there is a bloke that has had an infestation of mice at the sheds at his house, so he has been trapping them, chucking them on his allotment and after a few days the Kites were coming everyday to pick them up! That is good news about the new Cider Orch...

I always thought salt could alter the ph of the soil and if used liberally, can even make the soil sterile…..so I don’t think it’s a good idea at all!

Soon back to normal, just been and picked some Rhubarb for my Mum and it’s started raining again, so had to make a run for it….well more of a fast hobble!🙂

I chain-harrowed one of the fields today, a job I really enjoy, as it brings back happy childhood memories of working on the local farms….

Had Big Bertha out doing a wonderful job of rotovating, she certainly makes short work of a large area, when conditions are favourable!

This is a bit more like it but, as Clive said, it’s a job to know what jobs to do first….started really early this morning and got work proper done, and then shot over the allotments and planted 120 potato sets…..now time for a spot of lunch!

Managed to get some border work done at one of my jobs this morning but, now just started raining again so, back in the glasshouse again….
