This is what I did - just phoned around local companies asking if they ever got rid of old boards. The first company said they just kept cutting them down to usable sizes, but to try some of the larger companies who might not be bothered with that. Second phone call then got me a load. Many thanks for your kind advice Old Herbaceous. Hadn't thought about the possible freezing(!), and the drainage pipes sound like a good idea too.
