Thanks for the replies - we tried Strawberry tart's idea and it seems to have worked! We soaked an old towel then put one end in a full watering can and placed the other end across the compost and weighted it down with a stone. Holiday watering for cucumber in greenhouse

We have to go away Thursday morning and will not be back until Sunday evening - tomatoes in ring culture pots should be OK but we have a cucumber, in a container, that is doing really well. Garlic problems

Leaves on the garlic were looking yellow - having been very healthy plants until recently. We pulled up one clove to see what it was like - it was mouldy, soft and didn't smell too good! Every plant turned out to be the same so we pulled them all up and burnt them. Is this just because of the weathe...
