HELP! Bitter cucumbers

Hi. Have just harvested our first 4 'Crystal Apple' cucumbers and found them to be inedible due to bitterness. Heyasson doesn't mention this. His advice is that outdoor varieties should not have their male flowers removed. He recommends this outdor variety. Could it be that they need to ripen? I tho...

Oh instead of using straw mulch use office shreddings

These reflect more of the suns rays back up to these slow to ripen plants

If you are stuck using a PC and don't have access to the Mac's dashboard then I believe there is also a dashcook website.

As a widget the dashcook widget is more reliable than the all recipes one.

Two great widgets to instal on your dashboard are 'Dashcook' and 'All recipes'. Simple call up the dashboard, type in your ingredient, eg: pumpkin and then be inspired. Something like a pickle or soem way of creating 'lazy' chillies would be great.

Fynns pumpkins

For anyone who saw my letter this month Fynns biggest pumpkin in the end weighed just over 75lb I was interested to see that my letter had been slightly rewritten, quite appropriately edited I suppose. What suprised me was that someone had seen fit to quote the weights in kg, something I wouldn't do.
