thanks for that, they look great I nearly made the mistake of ordering from blackmoor nursery £1 a plant then I realised on checkout postage was £10! have to go with runners from t&m as the rhs shop is out of stock they do seem popular.

I grew mine in black boxes (the recycling ones our local council gave out a few years back) and had a great crop, sorry thats no consolation, do you think its white rot from an infected patch?

has anybody tried these? I'm short of space and wondered if it would be better idea to grow everbearer in the limited space i have, I was thinking mara des bois.

Ha ha he sounds gorgeous, i have a 2 year old tom, who despite being neutered at an early age makes very convincing attempts with our other male cat at what he's not supposed to do, he also opens the tin we keep my daughters hair bobbles in and picks them out takes them and stashes them in his bowl....

they have been round our allotment sites nicking the taps, just cutting them off the plastic pipe, leaving the water gushing out.

I have grown asparagus kale, dont sow it too early, it grows very big very fast, I had a mixed bed of kales and it just overtook and dwarfed everything.

he is going to add a few dumpbags in one corner where the level has been significantly lowered due to compaction, that is where there is just a big puddle at the moment. I'm sure it will be better when it dries out a bit, i'm going to fill some raised beds and plant into those this year. The trauma ...

thanks I have only just got my allotment back following major earthworks over the winter and it is in a sorry state, i dont think i will be planting anything for a month or more anyway. In the process of laying a pipe 4m below they have mixed the 20 inches or so of topsoil with the 3m of underlying ...

I have tried several times it was someone on here that joked "they didn't even get a yard of the ground" when I decided to give up, i might have some seeds left i'll have a look later for you.

i found some packs of onion sets in a discount shop today centurion, stuttgarter, setton and sturon 99p each. What my question was they are really big/ fat, for instance the 200g pack i got from t&m contains 60 sets and these have approx 40 in a 300g pack. Is there any advantage to bigger bulbs,...
