Be a little cute with a cat,- put one of those little collar/bell collars on it.
They kill a lot less of our innocent wildlife.

Can someone please direct me with the pruning process for this breed,- we have lots of canes...

Garlic
Hi all, I managed to miss some garlic from last year and found approx` seven (bulbs)clusters of garlic all growing well, and about the size of ten spring onions clustered together. I gently lifted, and seperated, and re-planted each one through that black weed surpressing material. All are doing well R...

poppy seed
Hi all,
I dont know if this is any use, or not, but here goes ?
I once bought poppy seed from an Asian grocer for cooking my beloved curries - anyhow i tried a few seed in the greenhouse and the lot germinated, and are very cheap to buy.
Just a thought,
Mark.

Meted chocolate
Hi all,
I`ve been catching a lot of mice this year by drizzling melted chocolate onto the bait plate, and allowing it to set hard before setting the trap.
Regards,and "All The Best"!

Blight galore
Hi all,
Every plotholder on our sight has cut back all potato plants to 6" above ground level,as signs of blight appear.
Obviously all the wet weather has not helped,- how is everyone else getting on ?

Mark.

Spanish garlic bread (totally no fat)
Toast a nice fresh slice of bread.
Rub a freshly peeled clove of garlic over the bread.(the bread acts like sandpaper on the garlic).
Now rub a tomato cut in half into the same side of the treated bread to your preference.
Enjoy!

Grey Squirrels
On the farm they are shot on sight,no "if`s or buts". We find them devastating to wildbirds nests, and game bird nests.Since adopting this attitude the increase in gamebird survival, and much more wildlife about the farm and fields was abundantly clear. Make "very, very, sure"a grey ...

Composting healthy potato plants
Hi all, On our site everyone takes their potato remains down to the compost bay and leaves it all for the council to remove.(once a year) We are only a small site of about 11 plot holders, and the rubbish/composting bay lies less than 70yds from any of us. My question is this - would it still be a &q...
