I know the forum has been revamped but where have the avatars gone
I've been trying to reinsatate mine but I think I'm doing something wrong as it's just not working

Dear macmac, i'm sure they wouldn't do that to one of our nice members.
I'm afraid i can't offer you any advice on how to remedy it.

They seem to have been lost in the upgrade of the website.
The quick and easy solution is re-upload your own avatar picture through the User Control Panel.
As everyone does this we should become more artistic.

Thankyou Peter I have been trying to do this but sadly it is not like riding a bike and you do forget!
I have resized the image in photobucket and then I thought you just copied ad pasted but perhaps I'm wrong.
As my OH would say I often am

Click on "User Control Panel"
Select the "Profile" from the list on the left.
Then select "Edit Avatar" from the refresehed list.
Click on the "Browse" button to the right of "Upload from your machine:" and empty box.
A Windows Explorer type dialogue box will appear, looking at you PC's hard disc, navigate to your chosen Avatar picture and doubleclick on it.
The Previous screen will re-appear with the empty box now full, click on Submit and you Avatar will be uploaded, Provided it meets the size rules, both height-width and kilobytes.

I can see everyone's avatars, Macmac can't see any. So I'm not sure if your suggestion will help her.

When I wrote the last post I had tried on AOL and IE and there were no avatars missing.
Just thought to try Firefox, which a lot of people might be using - no avatars except yours.
Maybe that's the answer for Macmac.

I'm on IE and I can see some Avatars and not others, it seems consistent in that I cannot see Alan or OH's in any topic, but I can see Geoff, Chantal, Tigger and Mouse everywhere they post.
See attached pic's.
