This year I am growing some red cabbage, the varitey, is called "Kalibos",

I have googled it and no seed company print the information on the packet to how tall they grow??

They are already pushing their way through 3' netting!! is this normal or do I have some giants on my hands??

I grew them last year. Seeds were freebies from Plants of Distinction. Very large outer leaves and tall conical hearts. I think another one of those cabbages that grows according to the spacing you give it.

Grew them last year and this, also from Seeds (Plants) of Distinction.
They are vigorous pointed plants as Beryl says. Not as tight or as deep a colour as say Red Drumhead but they do pickle OK and are fine used as normal cabbage as well. Seem to be a good reliable variety based on two years experience.

To Beryl and Geoff,

Thank you both for your replies.

I just wish seed packets contained more detailed information. :?

The sort of detail needed in the technical section!

Hi Colin,

Thank you. I wondered why I was moved :?: :!:

Happy now? Except it's listing twice and deleting one will delete the other. I'm sure KG Admin will sort it out when he's back from his holidays.

I agree that this posting does fit better in Technical, but so many of the postings started in here didn't follow the "rules" of Technical. When Mr Potato Head set this up, he did ask us to move any topics which didn't follow his guidelines and I do get carried away sometimes, sorry.

Hi Chantal,
If you ask the originator to take and hold a copy then they can delete on the wrong site and then paste where requested. Would that solve part of the problem?
