Has anybody seen a place in the UK which sells the Imperia Spremy Tomato strainer http://www.cutleryandmore.com/details.asp?SKU=12111
Has anybody actually used one? if so are they any good or does anyone know of an alternative available in the Uk?
Thanks!
Ben

Sadly - no. I've been searching for one too, but I think it's going to be a shipping job. They're a really good piece of kit and I love gadgets anyway.
Many of us have the simple one, available from Seeds of Italy, which is excellent and very good value for money.

I have one from SoI and I use it every year! It is easy to use, but it can come 'unsuckered' from the worktop if you are pulping firm tomatoes. I chop the tomatoes into quarters, and put the pulp through about 4 times and the resulting waste is minimal. It rinses easily under hot water, although you must take care to clean the spindle properly, as it fills up with pulp!
Much easier than skinning and chopping, and the resulting passata is lovely!

Just been browsing the new Lakeland catalogue and they now have what they call a 'Tomato Master'. Makes tomato pulp, leaving the pips and skin to one side. price £25.99 with a suction base.
Not sure if this is the same thing but sounds good to me.
