Despite being properly logged in I often get error 403 and cannot post replies to topics.
This seems to happen randomly - the latest is

Dunno Alan, I have no problem whatsoever, although I'm perhaps not the best person to comment as I have different permissions being a moderator.

It's a KG Admin job I think. I'll give him a nudge.

Alan, go to this website and paste the entire error message into the search box.

There are alot of reasons you may get error 403, take your pick from the selection Microsoft will present in response to your search. :D

Hello Alan
Is it a browser problem? You could try using a different browser such as Firefox or Opera if you are using IE or vice versa. Both of these are extremely good browsers. I find them much better than IE.

The only time I had a similar problems (though not with this site) was when my son and I switched to a wireless network. This took some time to sort out and involved digging deep into the bowels of the wireless box to alter some obscure settings so that everything was talking to each other properly.

Dear Alan, i really hope you do get an exact answer out of this, as it is really starting to get very frustrating not being able to reply to certain topics.

I wonder if it's the same topics we can't reply to, as i couldn't reply to the one you mentioned.

It also won't let me reply to Weeds topic about the K.G Magazine.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

OH

Yes, I'm having the same problem with Weed's post, too.

Just checked and I can get access via IE and Firefox, but not AOL (which I tend to use as default browser)

Thank you gentlemen.
Glad to be of some help.

I used to be with the awful AOL several years ago but we have now moved on to far better pastures with another provider.

Has everything now sorted itself out - or is there still a problem?

It's strange that the AOL browser should give you problems, but then its a customised version of IE (yuck!) - and there may be some filtering / content controls that are blocking you from viewing the page.

Maybe they banned 'weed' ? :)

Might I strongly suggest Firefox as a browser. Its generally much safer then IE, and less prone to allowing pop-ups etc etc.

Let me know if there are any more of these 403 errors.

Once the problem arises on a topic it always stays there, I now get over the problem by going onto IE.
