There are some real chilli fiends on here so i hope you can help.

Does anyone know which variety of chilli to look for to get a very RED medium hot chilli pepper. I think it might have an indian origin rather than south american or spanish, as i need it in South Indian cooking. I want to dry and grind it as a seasoning but i also want the very red colour. The cayennes i normally grow produce a very pale powder and are so hot you can only use a tiny amount, so i am looking for something a bit milder and redder.

Along with the cayennes next year i am planning to grow:
Pimiento L Pepper (to make spanish paprika)
    Romanian Hot Antohi Chile Pepper
Golden Greek Pepperoncini Pepper (to pickle)
Ciligia Piccante (for use fresh-Italian round mild chilli)
Lemon Drop (under gardianship for kokopelli)
