Hi

I am about to do some green tomatoe chutney (20Lb) and I want to try wet brining the veg. I would like to know how much salt to use per liter when making the brining soulition please.

Can anyone help me with this :?

The old ratio was 1lb salt to 1 gallon of water which translates in most recipies to 450g salt to 4.5 litres water.

Thanks for that, I have to admit that I used that much salt before reading your reply :oops: , but I used a little more water.
