Hi my 4yr old is growing two sweetcorn plants in a grow bag! they are doing really well. I know I probably should have done 3 at least but anyway, if she gets any sweetcorn from it can we leave it to get normal size as she tells me now that she doesnt like baby sweetcorn.

Hi Freckleston,
The very short answer this question is No it has been bred for the Mini Vegetable market.
I shouldn't worry because they are renown as poor croppers so your problem will not be that great.

OK thanks for replying. My other sweetcorn didnt even germinate at all (I think it is called 'Applause') so I guess I wont be enjoying much buttery cobs this year. Oh well - thats it now, I only have salad, tomatoes and two pumpkins left to grow. (Ive eaten all my peas/beans and I left it too late to sow pretty much everything else !.)
