hello there, really excited as we are about to start growing our very own veg.

We have a large paddock which, to begin with are just digging over an area approx 20'x20'.
I got a greenhouse for my birthday and am raring to go.

I have tomatoes, strawberries, peppers and herbs on the patio and look forward to sharing ideas and suggestions.

Hello. Lucky you having all that space!
I am no expert as we've just started our veggie plot this year, but its so addictve, I love it! It just feels great to serve up what you've grown yourself!
You'll get loads of good advice on here as well - its dead handy for all the questions you can't find the answer to - someone else will always have had the same problem!!
Enjoy! :)

Hi D. You might find it hard to follow the advice as we generally disagree! But you're welcome to it all the same.

My dear Zena, i gave the most charming little 8feet by six feet greenhouse away not so long ago, you would have been more than welcome to it, if i had known you were in need of one.
I even went round and erected it for the old girl.

Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

Yes it was Allan....do you know where we can get a manual?
Hubby is an engineer and loves to tinker with anything mechanical, so this is an ideal project. He bought it for £20! Needless to say it needs fixing, but all more the fun for him. He has a few spare engines around the place so I am sure it wont be long before he gets it going.

This is the paddock......
it is the end furthest away from the camera which we are dealing with first, but as you can see lots of potential.
I think we may well get one of our farmer neighbours in to plough the land over first as it has been lawn/left for over 15 years.Image[/img]
