In the bleak early Winter…..
Do you put much feed down for the birds, Burnie?
We used to have flocks of Starlings here, but now see very few…amazing how quick things can change….

We've had a few more resident starlings this year, think I saw a couple doing backstroke this afternoon, another inch today from Global Drowning.

I begin feeding in late October usually, a peanut feeder to start, then add a fat ball feeder and then sunflower seeds. We have a small feeder that sticks on the living room feeder, the larger birds keep away from that, that just has seed in it. Half a sack of peanuts have gone already and a sack of seed and a tub of 50 fat balls, I shall have to buy the same amount again.
