Oysters

They are salt water bivalve molluscs.
They have a three-chambered heart and two kidneys.

There is no evidence that oysters have a brain. (This is starting to sound familiar.)

Oysters usually reach maturity in one year. They are protandric, ie they start off as male and when they grow up and get more sense they become female.

Some oysters contain crabs, known as oyster crabs.

TGI Friday.

I like to make a Bloody Mary dressing, squirt some on the raw oyster and neck it. Mind you, having read all that scientific stuff, I've kinda gone off that idea. :) Is there an R in the month?

I find it very difficult to shuck oysters - not really strong enough. Our fishmonger gave us a tip - if you're strugging with the adductor muscle, just grab an old screwdriver and that'll do the trick better than any custom-designed knife.
