We have a few bits and bobs, some of it expensive such as coffee machines. One of our usual charity shops always has a couple of workmen out the back. I thought maybe they could repair the stuff and sell it. (I mean this is good stuff!) But apparently the charity shop doesn't do repairs.

We have already replaced the appliances so what should I do with the old ones? Landfill? Surely there must be a better idea.

Have you tried freecycle or trash nothing? They are local groups where you offer goods you no longer want. Then you get replies from interested people to come and collect them.
