I don''t expect she visits this forum very often but I'd like to wish her a happy birthday anyway. :D

She was more of a train spotter than a gardener…well when she was younger, anyway….😀
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

I drove steam locomotives for about 25 years....and always kept a sharp look out for red petticoats being waved...

Oh yes, I love steam locomotives.

I took the Fairy Queen from Delhi to Alwar, and they let me ride on the footplate for about half an hour. Talk about VIP treatment! LOL. I doubt if film stars would be treated any better. When we stopped in stations they'd do a run past to we could all get off, take photos and then get on again.

I did write a whole article about that journey but it seems to have slumped into the quagmire of all my previous stuff that I no longer use.

But I've been a lady of leisure and pleasure for too long and with this recession we might find a bit of extra dosh useful so I'm gonna have to do something. Cartooning?

PS: I'm getting fed up of "log in" - "post" and then the post doesn't go so go back and copy post then I need to log in again. This forum isn't working as it should and this will alienate users.

Simple fix, tick the remember me box when logging in.
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Simple, but less than ideal. I don't want to be "remembered" and I very much dislike social media following me. So, no, I'm not going to do that.

Thank you anyway for your suggestion, but it's not something that I'm willing to do.

Did no one arrange for this for you? The undergardener & I are going for a steam journey in March, I'll suggest it!

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
