Christmas decorations

A few cards are now drifting through the postal system, so I put those up on ribbons and the tree is up too, I put the lights on it then the better half does the rest. We have two themes, modern blue(which was last years turn), this year it's all my old favourites, most that my Dad bought in the 1950's and '60's, even some of the little trumpets and french horns still toot when you blow in them, starting to feel festive as well as frozen now.

These posh led lights are great, no dangerous candles(we set fire to our tree once in the early '60's, luckily Dad was on hand to put it out before it got out of hand), I also don't have to hunt for the one bulb that's loose or blown to get them to work, happy memories eh?

We have a wicker Robin sculpture with an oasis mounted on it's back, so having some Holly with berries on I dug it out of the shed and put it in pride of place by the conservatory door. The birds have had a feast and eaten all the berries, oh well it's gone to a good cause.
