Hi folks, I'm new here and am looking for some advice, please.
I have to replace the toothed drive belt on my Qualcast QX electric cylinder mower.
This isn't the easily accessible main drive belt, it's the one under the top cover which connects the motor drive shaft to the shaft which drives the adjustable belt for the cylinder.
To fit this drive belt will require disconnecting the shaft with the toothed cog and I can't puzzle out which end to disconnect.
I hope I've attached a photo and if anyone can advise I'd be grateful.
Many thanks
Qualcast QX electric mower - how do I replace the toothed drive belt?

Any chance of a photo looking at the side at the bottom of the picture, where a shiny nut is visible?
I'm assuming the motor is up top in your picture and firmly connected to the little cog, with the big cog firmly connected top and bottom to the black and green steel "bodywork"?

OK, warning first I'm not a mechanic.
Looks to me that undoing the two shiny big Phillips head bolts holding the black starburst on the outside edge will allow the shafts the big toothed wheel is on to be withdrawn enough to wiggle the new belt over it?
Might need to disconnect the fan belt and it's top wheel on the outside edge as well?

Thanks fir that - I'll give it a go as soon as the replacement belt arrives. It was due yesterday, but I think Royal Mail have staff shortages, so I'm being patient.
