I like that idea, I just use Red Oxide, mind I don't like using Hammerite as I can never clean the brushes properly.

I use to use hammerite on boat trailers I admit these got dunked in sea water regularly but the paint was useless I found the best to be galvafroid I think that's how it's spelt , whether it's still made I don't know but that was the best for hardwareing
