My trees are laden with fruit & have grown considerably & no way I'll reach the ones at the top this year as the branches are woody so won't
flex like they did last year to bring crop down to me. I don't think climbing a ladder is for me - (clumsy.com) -what picker thing would you recommend or do you use?

Mine is made by Wolff it fits on to a long extendible handle and has wavy fingerlike edges to pick the fruit which it catches in a cloth bag.
I bought a branch pruning saw that also attaches on to this handle to tackle higher branches. The saw cuts on the pull stroke and also comes with a short handle for closer jobs. So this answers the pruning question too.
