Ideas for massive squash please

Well, I'm in New York at the moment and as it's Halloween there are Squash everywhere and in everything. What better place could I be in for inspiration.

However - I've just had a 'squash, vodka and cinnamon' cocktail. It wasn't good and not a recipe I'll be bringing back to the uk.

I best get looking for more recipes.......

I tried the seeds from a shop bought squash last year all I got was flowers no female ones, this year I tried around 3 seeds I've around 7 small round squashes which is enough as I don't think they taste that good
