Clive, did you get the PM I sent you, as it’s disappeared off my sent list?

I wonder if there's something wrong with the private messaging system as it doesn't work for me - although I know I'm not the world's greatest techie.
For the life of me I can't understand why you can't simply reply to a message somebody has sent you and the system requires you to search for a recipient.

Perhaps somebody in the technical department can explain to this simpleton.

That's a mystery, as the last message showing in my inbox is one from May 7th.?

Well to save re-writing it and the chance of it disappearing again, it was much the same as my thank you post, but a bit more in depth, Clive.

Primrose, I have just replied to a message, Clive sent me, and you have to click on, “send reply” then it will let you type a message, then send it again.
Still don’t now why my first message to Clive, disappeared completely though.

Haven’t been involved with the Harvest Festival for a few years, for one reason or another, but have just been putting a barrow full of stuff together……carrots, beetroot, green and yellow courgettes, savoys, marrows, parsnip, pumpkins, leeks, strings of red and white onions and some flowers….looks quite colourful….

It seems that some of you are interested in old or unusual aircraft. How about this one from my time of working in Kurdistan? :D

Enjoy!

The wind is blowing at the moment and flattened one of the outdoor sweetcorn, it has pollination, but not much growth, so it is hung up for the Sparrows and Blue Tits.

Despite closing the back door of the tunnel where the toms are they have been nipped by blight! Quick question for you wise ones, the door has been closed a couple of weeks now so no rain could blow in, however rain does seep in under the tunnel cover, which I am mostly grateful for tbh. Would the spores stay alive in the damp soil long enough for the plants to take them up via the roots? Most of the evidence of it was in the stems not the leaves & the ones saved were toward the middle path not the tunnel edge.

Cheers in advance!

Your infection is a bit of a mystery Westi if your tunnel door was mostly closed. Soo the spores don't seem to have been air borne as such.
But the spores obviously have a limited life, perhaps in water if that's the onky way yiur plants can absorb them. . I suspect like the Covid virus there are still technical aspects of it capability we don't yet understand.

I wonder if there is any government / technical website whixh might have info abiotic the life span of blight spores in water?
