Dear All,
We are moving Kitchen Garden's website to our super new server in Derby over the next few days.
Whilst we will try to keep the interruption to the minimum, it may be required to close the forum whilst we also perform a required upgrade to version 3 of the forum software.
This upgrade (made after the move) may effect how the forum operates and may introduce different controls and features.
Version 3 has much better security features and changes - but this may also mean it is not compatible with the templates currently used (wimpole / subza).
We WILL do our best to ensure once complete the forum will look the same, but as with any 'upgrade' - there will always be differences.
TIMELINE
The basic move from old to new server may take place Early next week (starting 15th Dec) - with a background upgrade and test going on next week. If successful, we will switch the public forum over end of next week.
If you have any questions on the upgrade - please let me know by replying below.
Thanks
KGAdmin

Looks very different.
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Yes - sadly after my optimism - we could not keep the old design, so I've gone for a simpler design similar to the old subza that most people liked.
To newer members, this will look very different, but much more like other forum layouts, and easier to read.
Thanks everyone for their patience - and apologies over the login worries whilst we moved!!

No longer have the Next and Previous Topic buttons at BOTH top and bottom of a topic.
So if you view by Ascending Post Date within Thread, when you get to the bottom then you have to go to the top to see the next Thread.
Any chance of restoring this functionality?

Hi peter,
I'm sure I can - I see they are showing at the top of the page (in text) - but missing from bottom.
I will look into this once we have finished the remainder of the site moves - I'm working on Twist & Go now!

Thanks Peter I've corrected the email address now.
Search [Bots] were always around - just this new forum now shows them - but does now also offer us the ability to block them should we want to.
However, they are indexing posts so more people can find articles in search engines - so I'm happy to let them snuffle around.

I have just had a really good look around, tested avatar uploading, error messages for that, signature changing, accessing, text changes etc.... can't see any problems. Good job!

Great job
Looks good - and that coming from one of the past complainers when subza was lost.
I'm sure we'll all learn to find our way about.
Pity about the initial difficulty about logging back in, though
