I don't know if anyone can help me here, sometimes when trying to reply to a question, Error 403. Access forbidden. You do not have permission to access the requested file on this server, comes up on the screen. This comes up when i have read the topic and then press the reply button.

I have to say this can be very annoying when i have something important to say. :)

Any clues will be gladly received.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Dear Chantal, i do rack up certain points with some people, but that just happens to be another one of my secrets.

While we are on the subject of P.Ms, i was wondering just how private they are, i can imagine the site officials having a right laugh at some of them.

Maybe they could publish one of the best each month.

I better check mine to see if there are any worth publishing, now there was that one from.....

I think they really are private. I run the same forum format for work and I certainly have no access to PMs other than mine own.

Your secrets are safe, I think...

Dear OH,
This didn't happen after you had been trying to renew your subscription online, did it? This happened to me some months back, when I got a similar message after trying to renew my subscription online. I didn't make the connection and thought that somebody in authority had suddenly decided to ban me from the site because I'd been rude to somebody !! It proved to be some kind of other glitch which was subsequently sorted out.

Dear Primrose, thankyou for your reply.
I must admit it wasn't after trying to suscribe though, but it's still doing it when i try to reply to certain questions. :?

I'm glad it's not happening for being rude, i would spend more time off the forum than on it.

Thanks again for your help.

Hummmm,

There is access control in place - but its for the forms - and only blocks spammers trying to send us naughty weblinks.

For some reason, you seem to be getting a denied in the same way - but in theory this would be continuous if your address was blocked.

(So basically I have no idea)

If you get another 403 error, can you quickly goto www.whatismyip.com and make a note of your IP address please.

This is the unique address linked to your web connection which may help me track why you are getting the occasional block.
