I've pasted this across in case anyone should like to have a go. It works just as well with frozen fruit.

About 1lb blackberries
About 300ml vodka
Sugar to taste, according to fruit used.

Put the blackberries & the vodka into a large kilner/screwtop jar. Shake vigorously. Leave in a cool dark place for about 2 months, or till you remember it. Strain into a clear container & add enough sugar till you're happy with it. Pour off into a bottle & store/use, etc.

Hint: I used mine with some sparkling white wine to make a version of a kir royale - very good & went down a treat.
