Hi everyone,

We need to upgrade the forum software to make sure it's up to date and secure.

The plan is to do this on Monday (24th) in the morning. We are doing it early in the day/week to give us chance to fix it if anything goes wrong. We are expecting the forum to be offline for a couple of hours.

One more thing. The theme (look) of the forum will change too. When we last did it, it was to allow the forum to work on phones. This time, it's because the theme isn't compatible with the latest secure version of the forum software.

All posts, accounts, images etc will be exactly the same.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Thanks for the warning, I'm sure the ageing forum population will cope with the changes as long as they don't become as frequent as Prime Minister changes. Please bear in mind the temporary blue rinse we had a couple of weeks ago wasn't very popular, if there is still a green option it would be preferred.

Good afternoon Darren, it does seem to be mostly squashed on the left hand side of the page!

We seem to have lost the "Birthday" facility, also it seems we can no longer "like" posts, finally I note of the list of moderators for the forum only Pete and Chantal have visited the site this year, maybe tidy up the list?

The carrot is visible, looks like the stick has been turned into tongue & groove.
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

green ticks, red dots, hard work.

Can't the heading go back to the top instead of the RHS with posters back on the left? And a bit more ink in some of the text?
