It's my barfday next month and I was thinking about what I might desire. I think maybe an Ooni pizza oven.

Is there any point? You can buy very nice pizzas from a place 10 mins walk away. I dunno. I think it would make me happy to be a pizza chef at garden parties. We don't actually have a garden right now but the employer does. What do you think about the idea and would you recommend a different brand?

I wouldn't. In a smaller form, my brother in llaw and sister had something similar and it was fiddly, required special wood chips and cooked just a single pizza at a time.

I'd stick to walking ten minutes. However, here is a review: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2017/dec/13/uuni-pro-pizza-oven-review-rhik-samadder

If you need some light reading, seach for the "Inspect a Gadget" series from The Guardian (in Google type "site The Guardian "Inspect a Gadget" and the whole series will appear, many are very amusing. (or just click here https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/series/inspect-a-gadget

I guess it depends on how much you like Pizzas and how often you would actually use such a gadget or whether it would soon risk becoming unused clutter.
.
I guess I've reached a stage in my life when many gadgets or pieces of equipment owned are no longer used and just hang around collecting dust. I'm trying to gradually dispose of them, and some will not have been worth the original money paid for them. However as a professional cook, you might probably be tempted to use something like this more than the average person.
