Peter......

Dear Chantal, i'm sure just because Filbert is a bit of an odd ball, it doesn't make him any less lovable, if it does, i'm certainly in trouble. :)
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

He certainly is an oddball, but even more lovable for it. I've never really been into kittens, I've always preferred adult cats as they have so much more personality, but Filbert has had a strong personality since the day he moved in. We adore him :D

Our baby Filbert is now 16 months old and will always be our baby because he's so small. He's half the weight of Diego and Fabio and smaller even than the girls. Feral cats are often small it seems.

He's still eating some veg, but nothing like his kitten days. He has however got amazing fashion sense...

He looks really cute and I love the High Vis jacket.
I bet the nocturnal mice love it too as they'll be able to spot him coming miles away !
Is he totally domesticated Chantal? Ferral cats, even when domesticated, often seem to retain some of their parents' wilder habits. We had one once and even though we'd had him from a tiny kitten he always seemed to retain a streak of the wild in him.

Hi Primrose, that's not actually Filbert's hi-vis jacket, it belongs to one of the chickens :D

Yes, he is totally domesticated, he's rather more domesticated than any of the other "domestic" cats in fact. There doesn't seem to be a vestige of feral left in him. Our Tabitha was also feral and still shows it quite often, but not him, he's as soft as tripe.

I can give him pills, groom him, dress him up, he comes when he's called, he never bites, scratches or hisses - I wish they were all like him!

Dear Chantal, he sounds the complete opposite to me. :)

He certainly has grown into a handsome fellow.
