I inherited a lovely old potting shed with my veg garden. It has wonderfully weathered wood cladding which I love but it needs some protection. Is there a preservative that won't obliterate the silvered wood appearance?

Morning Flanjamin, i think Cuprinol clear wood preserver is what you are after. It is quite expensive, but it does do a good job. Not everywhere will know stock it, as it all seems to be going over to water, wax based products, which i must add, i think are rubbish as they seem to trap water in the wood.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
