I have just started using home made pest control
Garlic spray was my first try, with good results pest gone but the smell lingers.
Can anyone suggest any others Ant

Hello Ant. Chilli pepper blitz in water and spray. mind your eyes.

Mixed planting confuses pests, target plant is harder to find, whereas a bed full of one crop is an invitation to a feast, marigolds and alliums to edge your beds helps deter pests.

Encourage predators, a pond will encourage toads frogs and newts, they eat slugs, bats eat a hell of a lot of insects put up a bat box or two, encourage birds too.
Slow worms eat pests, so when they might be breeding I don't disturb the compost heaps, which they often choose to make a nice warm nursery
Chemicals deter these predators and can kill them, leaving the field wide open for pests. My garden is full of spiders, my cane fruit had no pests, but there were lots of spiders webs among the cane fruit - spiders are another good predator.

Good old rhubarb water, which we aren't supposed to know about ! ! ! works well. Use the same recipe for Mare'stail. Cheers, Tony.

I think you should use "Termidor FOAM".
I'm also using this spray and get many good results.

Which seems to be intended as a termite terminator and not available in the UK as we don't get termites.

There are many remedies available that are organic - just search & experiment. (Mainly US sites - try Pinterest). Some will not dissuade our wee beasties but some actually work - I had no damping off as I sprinkled cinnamon powder on my seed trays but have to ask would I have got it anyway as every year our compost is also different?

Kleftiwallah - please share your remedy with rhubarb water! Not seen that one! Sounds like you have experimented & got results! Nature's babe - have to agree with the results your link found. Not many of these scientific sites explain so basically as that one you found.
