Hyacinth insects

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

I put some hyacinth bulbs in a pot about ten week before christmas, i brought them into the house two weeks ago and they are doing really well, but i am getting quite a few tiny black flying insects near them and 3 or 4 i have caught inside them. Can anyone tell me what they are and if they are coming out of the hyacinths, would appreciate any info. thanks Jeff

They're probably fungus gnats (sciarid flies) https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/Profile?pid=804
