A silly idea?

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

After a month of wet weather, my homemade wooden shelf/cupboard which I had made for my observatory was covered in green mould. So I washed it off with Jeyes fluid. Some was left over so I put the bucket in the greenhouse and left it there in case I needed it again. Now at this time of year the toms are usually starting to suffer from mildew and moulds, etc. But not this year. It is as if the Jeyes fluid has somehow inhibited them. The leaves die and shrivel but they don't get 'nasty'. And the greenhouse certainly smells fresher - if you can call Jeyes fresh.

Interesting observation. I've just been in the greenhouse trimming off the brown crumbly leaves, got the other half to do manana!

Cheers, Tony.
