Hertfordshire schoolchildrens' green-finger boost.
This nice gardening story took place just across town from me, funny-ironic to see it in my favourite gardening magazine.
In December 2008 a relatively newly built primary school burnt to the ground during a normal schoolday, just the school hall and a couple of office rooms were left standing. See pictures attached.

The gardening bit that KG reports on is the latest and biggest act of kindness shown by a number of people and businesses to the devastated school, whose grass play area is now a barracks type arrangement of temporary classrooms while a new school arises from the ashes.

On the website of the local paper, The Herts and Essex Observer are videos of the fire and new garden.
