I see OH is working himself up slowly for his Christmas Lights display on his house with all those twinkly lights, Santa Claus and reindeer on his roof....and on his front lawn... and round his windows !

Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.

We also had the first proper frost. Though the sun quickly put paid to it.
-4C here this morning and -2C in the greenhouse. The cyclamen in there seem to be ok and I hope the fuchsias (already cut back and defoliated) have survived as well. Reminder to self: before we get another hard frost like that, must wrap them all up in bubble plastic!
And no, Geoff, no large DT Brown catalogue yet, just the autumn catalogue with a spring pre-view.

How do you know if it is the large catalogue Geoff? I got one from their stand at Harrogate Show that seems quite comprehensive.

Hi Geoff!
I've got a DT Browns catalogue, but not through the letterbox, we are using them as suppliers for our seeds on Lottie. When exactly is Black Friday before I put my order in at the shop?

24th November - DTB had lots of stuff at £1 a packet last year.
We have that catalogue too Monika; good to be a bit to the West, ground frost but air just above freezing, Dahlias still hanging on.

I always thought it was the farmers that were supposed to eye up the sheep!
