Here we are Monika.... :)

Mid Autumn and most of the leaves are still on the trees, here....although there are some wonderful shades of colour about.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Well it may now be Mid Autumn OH but I have primroses in bloom and my papava poppy is showing a second batch of very vibrant blooms. Despite being a grey damp day here, it,s actually very mild. Just trying to enjoy this final week of dusk before the clocks come forward and we really have an early blackout.

I don,t notice it so much now because I now try to avoid driving in the dark wherever possible but when I was working and commuting always used to notice that on the first working night after the clocks came forward the traffic was always chaotic. It was as if many people had grown totally unused to driving in the dark and were being doubly cautious about all their moves.

Thank you, OH. Yes, it's 13C here at this very moment, very mild for a late October evening. Our hazel 'lambs tails' are showing well already!

We've had a proper wet and foggy "Dreich" Autumn day today.
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.

Was reducing the size of a large clump of Thrift today when I came across a HUGE cluster of white slugs eggs entangled in the roots. They were so securely hidden I would never have found them by merely lifting the edges of the foliage. Needless to say I‘ve got rid of as many as possible but a little surprised they’re still breeding this late in the year. Possibly because the weather has still been so mild?

It is mild Primrose, infact, I opened the back door while doing the drying up, a few minutes ago.....

I wonder with all the midges about, whether the horrid Schmallenberb, will rear it's ugly head next year!!!!

14C tonight, it's getting warmer! Last night we found several frogs and an adult smooth newt in the garden - they should be safely tucked up in a dry stone wall by now or at least in the undergrowth, not parading about!
One autumnal sign was a lovely mixed flock today of blue, coal, great and long-tailed tits and goldcrests, all working through our large bird cherry.

Not having any cattle or goats or sheep and definitely no alpacas I won't be worrying about it , I feel sorry for people it may affect or the animals

There's a huge clump of Ivy down at my Mum's and it was absolutely covered in honey bees.....very nice to see and hear, for that matter....
