Strange sky this afternoon

Checked on the allotment now and all is well, other than some plastic covering flapping about. Luckily, we had already cut down the sunflowers and Jerusalem artichokes because they would certainly have blown over. The greenhouses of two other plotholders had some slight damage, but overall we have had it far worse in years past!
After the huricane on Monday we were without electricity, phone and internet until 7.15 pm yesterday (Friday). Luckily we have a gas hob and a multi fuel stove.
The forcast now is for a storm today. It rained all day yesterday and today, with lots of flooding on the roads. Trees down everywhere but luckily we only lost one ridge tile.

That's awful Gerry. You certainly got the worst of it. We've just had a few strong gusts that have brought some dead branches down but little damage.

Your part of the world is taking a bit of a hammering Gerry, hope all is well, might be visiting Thomond Park for some rugby if I'm fit enough, Munster v Leicester Tigers.
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.

Pesky little blighter was Brian but we got let off lightly on a personal note, but Avon has burst it's banks & Stour is lapping closely behind so some homes will be in danger or actually flooded. The quay was lively with big waves & the spring tide with cars having to park two rows from the front, but most ignored the lobster pots moving around on the working quay & merrily walked through among them for a coffee in the cafe.
