Lettuce Overload

What does everyone do with too many lettuce? I have sowed a couple of weeks apart but some of the early ones that struggled a bit have caught up so have a glut & they are just going over.

I have given away the best of them but have little gem, tom thumb and some other ones at the brink but too good to compost. I plan to make some soup & peas with lettuce but anyone have any other ideas?

Dear Westi, i have the very same problem this year, (if we can call it a problem, i suppose) anyway, Old Codger's hens are certainly grateful.... :)

I have also given a lot away......

Stir-fried lettuce with oyster sauce and garlic. Brilliant recipe - we make it often. Any crispy lettuce is good for this!

Probably won't help you, but my hens get any spare greens etc.

Thanks Alan

That's another solution to the overload! Looking forward to trying that but know I'll like it - lettuce instead of Pak Choi.
