I plan to plant out my sweetcorn either next week or the week after.
I was wondering about planting through black plastic mulch. Is this a bad idea? As I'm in the north (near Scarborough), I though the heating effect might also help....

Dear Mr Cecil,
I have had a look at the 5 day forecast for Scarborough (well Seamer actually) and there looks to be a couple of colder nights of about 6C. I think I would leave them somewhere sheltered until next week.
I grew up at Staxton so I know the area very well.
