I have soaked them in wood preservative to prolong life and useage, can be any colour available at the end of season sales .

Try the butter in a milk bottle..one milk bottle partly buried laying flat , except the top..smear with butter , partly fill with water..Mr Mouse smells the butter , has a nibble or two , then slips down the bottle neck into the water...

Give them all good soaking ..then pinch the tops out ..and you may end up with sturdier and stronger plants as a result.With a little later crop as a bonus !!

Feed them cats with boiled starfish..at first it tastes lovely , but after a while it starts to react and the cat eventually gets stomach ache and never returns again !!

Mohonia Japonica is the widely available , freely flowering yellow scented shrub, the aquilfolium is the smaller variety with smaller leaves and flowers.., They are very hardy , easily propagate by air layering...
